Ruth Schneider Obituary

Ruth Ann Schneider
1951-2018
Ruth Schneider, 67, passed away late on January 31, 2018, at Saint Alphonsus Hospital, Boise, ID.
Ruth was born in Marlin, TX on January 16, 1951. She moved to the Los Angeles, CA area in her early 20's.
Ruth met her love, Randy, on a blind date, in September of 1984. Randy learned later that he was the only one that was blind; Ruth had asked her girlfriend for pictures before agreeing to show up. We lived 84 miles apart, so the courtship was wearing both our cars out. We married 3 months after we met and had the most wonderful 33 year adventure anyone could imagine; we just celebrated our 33rd Wedding Anniversary on December 30, 2017.
Ruth was an Apparel Buyer for Millers Outpost (L.A. area) and Randy owned a small Advertising Rep firm in Canoga Park, CA. Our travels took us in opposite directions the first year of our marriage, so I was able to able convince Ruth she should become an equal partner in my little company and I would make her the greatest advertising sales person in the West. Ruth always said that convincing her to work with me was my greatest sale. For the next 32 years, we were always together. We traveled, for business and pleasure, extensively and had the great fortune to see many fantastic places and also a ton of hard Convention floors thru our work. We moved to Boise, ID in 1988 and felt like we had found a piece of Heaven where the High Desert met the Rockies.
I will never stop thanking God for blessing me with Ruth.
Ruth was my BEST FRIEND, WIFE, BUSINESS PARTNER, MOTHER but most of all she was "MY GIRL" and will be for the rest of my days on Earth.
God, please watch over Ruth because she will be lobbying you to ease some rules, so I can join her in HEAVEN.
Ruth leaves behind her Husband: Randy Schneider (72) and her Daughter: Jessica E. Schneider (41).
She is being cremated and all facets of her final walk are being overseen by Summers Funeral Home, Boise Chapel. 208-343-6493.
There will be a Memorial Mass held on Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at 11:00AM at St. Mary's Catholic Church. 2612 W. State Street, Boise, ID 83702. 208-344-2597.

Ruth unfortunately wasn´t able to have any children of her own, and was actually blessed with THREE step-daughters: Laura Schneider,
Sarah Schneider and Jessica Schneider. Rest in peace, Ruth.

Ruth Ann is one of my favorite folks from our days growing up in Marlin, TX. I know she will be missed in so many places across the world, but always remembered. Blessings on you and yours, peace and comfort.

Liz & I have a lot of wonderful memories of our time shared with Randy & Ruth spanning over 29 years. When ever we would get together we always had a great time, like the trip to Savannah and Charleston SC in 1996, the times we would meet up in Seattle, or at their home in Boise. I remember the first time that my wife met Ruth. It was in 1989, and we met at a very nice little restaurant in the Los Angeles area. Liz & Ruth hit it off immediately. Ruth, you will be missed, but you'll always live in our hearts. Love, Liz & Larry

As I made the posts for Ruthie, I have cried. As I think of all the hours we have spent on the phone, I cried.

As I sit here and remember hayrides and weeny roasts; dances at the Allen House; her getting her drivers license and how she would come pick me up and I would hijack coke bottles from the garage-taking them to Blue at Tom Davis and swapping for gas to partially fill that big old black Olds; my mother and I taking her and Aunt Pearl to Waco to have day surgery to remove her tonsils; fabulous food cooked by her mother; her deep love for GrandMa Muchow; her first wedding (primarily Susans very short red/burgandy dress); her making good by completing high school in Houston; marriages 2/3/4;
her marriage to Randy and their almost constant being together running their own business in advertising sales; I am smiling.

Ill cry in a little bit for never taking the trip to Boise......
