The sad news of Sally's death is being passed around amongst her Kappa Kappa Gamma sisters from the U of I. Her refusal to let her illness limit her life was amazing and inspiring.

We were sorry to learn of Sally's death. Our families spent many years together in the Western Riding Club when we were kids. We have wonderful memories of those times.

My mother, Irene Brown, taught fourth grade with Sally for many years. Sally was always such a nice friend even though there was a 30 year age difference. Sally often called mom or stopped by the cabin to see her in McCall. Mom shed tears over losing her friend, Sally and will miss the calls.

I am so sorry for you loss. I just was sent the news article by a classmate of mine. Miss Rutledge was truly an amazing teacher. I can even now at this momemt remember her smile and how genuinely valued she made me feel at the age of 9. She definitely will be missed, and I know I am better person for having her in my life.

I will always remember her as Miss Rutledge. She was my fourth grade teacher at Meridian Intermediate in the 80's. Miss Rutledge was an amazing teacher. She is one of the teachers that really made an impact on my life with her positive outlook. She will be missed.

I remember Sally from many years ago as a member of the Mountain West Club. She was a pleasure to be around because she always had such an outgoing personality and a great demeanor. She will be greatly missed.
