What fond memories of my 3rd grade teacher at East Canyon Elementary I beleive in 1983? One of my favorites for sure. I remember learning to love math and the "Store" she used to let us by things at with tickets we would earn. I got to see Mrs. Tucker at Orphan Annies a few years ago. One of my favorites

To the family of Sandy

Sandy was a very special person from childhood on through adulthood. I remember the sometimes shy and quiet, but excellent student that sat toward the back of my sixth grade classroom in Fruitland. Though we didn't meet often as she was an adult when we did her thoughtfulness and compassion for her friends and students was always evident. My sincere and heart felt sympathy to her husband, children, Ruth, Mike, Cathy, Leland, and Ellen and their families.

What a pleasure to work with Sandy - a true professional with kids' best interest at heart - a true advocate for students - My own children are better people for having her as a teacher. She taught them much more than math. She will be missed. My thoughts are with her family at this very difficult time.

Dearest Buzz and family, I was one of Sandy's room mates in college. I remember the courting days of Buzz and Sandy and all the fun times. Since college I have ran into Buzz and Sandy a few times which brought back many good memories. Sandy was probably the most caring, passionate and loving people I have had the pleasure of knowing. Wow Sandy, Sue, Leslie and Ellen what a great foursome we were.
Thanks for the memories.
All my love, Ellen Taylor Erskine,Boise

I would like to express my condolences to the entire family. Sandy was my teacher in 4th grade many many years ago and she has continued to remain one of the most stand-out teachers in my life. Description words that come to mind include (but certainly not limited to): devoted, caring, loving, committed, inspirational, patient, kind, heart-warming, confident, goal-oriented, determined, strong and courageous. She was definitely a positive role model for all the children she taught and I am sure I can speak for others when I say she was excellent at making a lasting impression with everybody she met. She wanted to make the world a better place and she did just that through her love of children and dedication to teaching! I am very sad to have to say goodbye but at the same time, I am relieved to know that she is finally resting peacefully and no longer suffering. May God bless your family in this time of sorrow.
