I´m so sorry I wasn´t able to come to your wedding and meet you for the first time in person after you came home from the hospital, and wish I could have taken your pain and switched places with you during your battle. I found out the day you had passed away you were a distant cousin through Katy, and I remember the day she hit me up and said you should contact her I think she would love to know who you are and become close with you from that day we grew a close relationship and then you were gone in the blink of an eye it´s hard to believe your already 20 wow time flies I wish u we´re here to see it. your truly missed miss lady. I love you to the end of eternity. I miss the conversations we would have and just laugh until we couldn´t breathe... and just wish I could have been there happy 20th birthday love hope your partying it up with god up there rockstar.i love you angel RIP. forever connected at heart even if far away. I wish heaven had a cell service to know your ok see you again soon.

His my name is Yasmina I found out serena was my cousin since I was young the day of her wedding through some family members. we talked about hanging out a lot and meeting each other for the first time, when she got out of the hospital. and she asked me to come to her wedding and said if I couldn´t make it she would send me pictures. She told me even if we don´t get to meet in person always remember she loves me and will always be by my side and keep my head up and when times get tough just remember if she could fight her battles and win I can to. And I told her she is so strong and beautiful and she will make it home and will be ok and will get through her fight and come home strong and healthy, not to worry that she will be home before she knows it and won´t have cancer anymore .
and then I found out the night after the wedding she passed on Facebook.but as long as I knew her she was such a strong independent influencing young lady with her positive light that shines through any room she walked into. and put a smile on my face everyday and lifted me up in times of need she had such a beautiful light and didn´t deserve to be gone so soon. but hope she is resting peacefully and is dancing in the clouds with god, and is with his angles and is healthy and running and jumping she ran her race and won fair and square. I will always remember you Serena as a warrior and a fighter I love you cuz hope to see you once again one day and catch up your dearly missed I wish heaven had a number I hope ur doing ok on the other side ripshe is in a better place in good hands now.

My heart is absolutely broken. I had the pleasure of having Serena in my class when she was in 5th grade. She is an absolute success story and one I will always remember as a teacher. I saw her a few years ago at Frank Church and we were both just as surprised to see one another. My heart goes out to her family. Keeping you all in my thoughts and prayers.
