We winter in Yuma AZ and just happened to log on to the Statesman and found Sheldons obituary. We were so sorry to read of his death. Sheldon and I (Wayne) were school mates from grade school through our first year at BJC. We had some great times together and Gloria and I will never forget our old friend. May God bless you and keep you in His care during this time of great sorrow in your life. Wayne and Gloria Forrey

I will truly miss Sheldon, we had lots of good times. I considered him my best friend. The world is a better place because of his generosity and kindness toward all who knew him. I’m not saying he was a saint…he had his moments that his far outweighed his faults.

Thinking of you at this time.
I am visiting in Louisiana and will not be able to attend Sheldon's funeral but you all will be in my thoughts and prayers.
Sheldon will be remembered as a bigger then life kind of man.
My dad was always proud to call him a friend.
