Steve Olson family:
I would like to send my deepest sympathies to your family. My son Drew was in Steve's class many years at Riverside. We both adored him and he is in my thoughts often to this day. He was a gentleman and a scholar whom I admired greatly. May you be blessed with love and peace.

Dear Olson family,
I was sorry to hear of Steve's passing. Steve worked with my daughter, Charlotte many years ago at Riverside. I had so much respect for who he was and how he cared for the kids under his charge! I appreciated working with him and will not forget him! My best to you all. Angie Tate

Debbie, Kate and Dylan,
Know that we are thinking of you during this very difficult time. We have many fond memories of the girls sharing basketball, soccer and all of us going camping. Steve always had such a great outlook on life! Hugs.

Mr. Olson was the first to spark and encourage a passion I have now held for about 17 years. I'm not there yet but I am working toward a degree in Special Education. I have worked withindividuals affected by special needs since I was legally old enough to work and I still express and apply many of the lessons he taught me as a general ed student back in elementary school. I remember him as being so compassionate and resourceful. His attitude of empowerment and acceptance toward kids in the special ed system is one that lives strong in me now. I have thought of him many times over the years but never got the chance to tell him how he shaped who I have become with his simple acts of service. Thank You.

Steve Olson family,
So sorry for your loss. I will always remember Steve's quiet nature and the "toothpick" in his mouth. Great guy!
Thoughts and prayers to your family.
