Todd Tracy Obituary

Todd O. Tracy of Chico, Calif., passed away Friday, Oct. 17, 2008. He was born Sept. 8, 1932 in Corning, Calif. to Omer and Winifred Tracy. He graduated from Corning High School and joined the Air Force after graduation. He was also a firefighter for the city of Chico for seven years. He moved to Idaho in the mid 1960's. He worked as a real-estate agent for Shields and Co. in Boise, Idaho. He later opened his own real-estate company, Shamrock Realty. He married Karen Reynolds Eckhart in 1972 and in 1986 they moved to Chico, Calif. where they have since resided. He worked as an Allstate homes claims contactor until he retired. Todd was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved autumn, as that was the time he would head to Idaho for a month of hunting with his sons. He loved the time he was able to spend boating, playing with his grandchildren and building things. He was always ready to lend a helping hand to those who needed it. Todd is survived by his wife, Karen of 36 years, five sons and daughter-in-laws, Skip and Lori, Brad and Roxy, Mark and Susan, Mike and Kim, and families of Nampa, Idaho, Todd and Julie Eckhart and their family of Bend, Ore. Also two sisters, Shirley Miner of Corning, Calif. and Nancy Tracy of Sacramento, Calif. He leaves behind a large extended family. Services will be held at Newton-Bracewell on Thursday Oct. 23, 2008 at 11 a.m., with a viewing the night before from 5-7 p.m. Burial will follow at Sunset Hill Cemetery in Corning.
