Ursula Beccio Obituary

Ursula Paula Beccio passed away peacefully November 4th at home surrounded by her family. She was 71. Ursula was diagnosed with ovarian cancer three years ago. She dealt with the disease courageously and conducted herself with enormous grace. She is survived by her daughters Corinna Myers, Vickie Meier and Robin Meier, son-in-law Richard Fleming, grandsons Nicholas Myers, Jona Myers, Ethan Fleming and granddaughter Piper Cavanagh. She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters and husband. She was proud of her children and was very happy to have been an active part in her grandchildren's lives. Ursula was born and raised in Germany and moved to the states in 1960, living in New York and Maryland before making Boise her home. Everywhere she went she made friends easily. As many said, "she never met a stranger." Ursula was an amazing person; kind and generous to a fault, stoic and stubborn, never far from her German roots, easy to laugh and always willing to help. Even though English was her second language she never failed at winning at Scrabble and was a whiz at the daily Jumble. Her cooking and baking were legendary in the neighborhood and among friends. Her motto in life and in the kitchen was "Love and Butter, spread ‘em on everything." And she did. Her family and friends never lacked for love. She will be truly missed. Services will be private and held at a later date.

Going through life, you're lucky to count your true friends on one hand. Ursula fit that bill. America was richer for having Ursula move to our country. We will miss her laughter and sweet voice. God bless you all.

Oh how we miss our dear friend. We had so many times of laughter, and just plain fun with her and the "Friday night
gang". She will be sorely missed by us, and all who loved her. God bless her. We love you.

Oh, how I will miss her! Ursula was the sister I never had. The memories we have with her will be with us the rest of our lives. We are sharing your sorrows with the rest of her Maryland "family".

My late wife, Betty, and I met Ursula when she was a manager at IHOP in Cockeysville, MD. She was always happy, laughing with Betty and enjoying my fractured GI German. My thoughts and prayers are with her family.

I met your mother while we both were waiting for our next appointments at MSTI. Immediately, I knew she was a warm and loving person talking about making sauerkraut and talking fondly of her family. It was a brief encounter but I will remember her with a warm smile. With deepest sympthey, Darlene Smith
