Waneta Irminger Obituary

Waneta Rachael Irminger
May 29, 1931 - December 29, 2020
Meridian, Idaho - Mom passed away in her home surrounded by her lifelong nest of keepsakes and collectibles and love of all her family on her and Dad's 71st wedding anniversary. Her children, family, and friends were with her in spirit and thought on her journey to join her beloved husband Chuck (dec. 11/5/2019) and daughter Kathy (dec. 10/01/1991).
Waneta was born in Jennings County, Indiana, the fourth of five children born to Edna and Ancil Shuter. She is preceded in death by siblings Joe, Beulah, Gene, and Bob. After an early childhood in Indiana the family relocated to Idaho. In the mid 1940's the family relocated temporarily to the Seattle area waiting for stepfather Dee Adams deployment in World War II. There she met Carrie Shadoan, a lifelong friend and future sister-in-law. The family returned home to Idaho where Waneta met and married her Eagle High School sweetheart Charles B. Irminger on December 29, 1949. They lived briefly in Soda Springs and Grandview, Idaho before buying their home in Boise, Idaho where they remained for 50 years. Children Charliene (Michael Randall), Katherine (Ben Syme), Carl, Erica (Jack Russell), and Ancil were all raised with love and tight family togetherness in their little home. No matter what time, or day, or how many showed up at the table, Mom found a way to feed and welcome everyone. The family enjoyed many good times fishing and hunting in our wonderful Idaho forests. She was an avid fisherman and loved to head for any water hinting of fish. As the children left the nest, she expanded her interest and love of vintage collectibles. For many years she was a well-known appraiser and sought after estate sale consultant. For many decades she was a highly regarded silver service matchmaker and had clients all over the globe although most known in the Northwest. The silverware lady will be missed. In 2000 Waneta and Charles moved to Meridian into their long awaited home with room for all Mom's treasures and Dad's shop and tools. They spent their remaining years indulging their love of each other, their family, and hobbies. We are so grateful for their wonderful life together and role models they set for their children and grandchildren. Grandchildren are Tony Syme, Carrie Syme (Rob Rickner), Eric Irminger Randall (Bobbi), Charlie Randall, David Martin (Lisa), Rachael Martin, Justin Haugse, Kayla Davis (Kevin), and Dillon Irminger. Great grandchildren include Kortne Randall, Ryker Randall, Gavin Randall, Temperance Martin, Ronan Davis, Kyler Haugse, and the little Martin and Davis babies to arrive soon.
Viewing for all will be 11:00a to 12:00p Friday January 8th at Cloverdale Funeral Home. Viewing will be one family at a time and all must remain in their vehicles until they can enter the viewing area. A limited immediate family service will be at 12:00pm, Noon. Both the viewing and service will be live streamed by Cloverdale and a link to that is available on the Cloverdale website. Graveside interment will follow immediately, complying with current Boise COVID restriction policy. Feel free to send flowers if you would like or the family would also like to suggest a donation made in Waneta's name to a favorite charity.
