William Clark Obituary

William R. Clark (Bill) Our loving Husband, Father and Grandfather passed away Tuesday, July 17, 2007 four days before his 75th birthday. His family was by his side. Bill was borne on July 21, 1932 in Topeka, Kan. to Kenneth and Stella Clark. At an early age Bill's parents passed away and he went to live with his Aunt, Eunice Patterson. Bill married the love of his life Shelia Dillon (Shell) on Dec. 12, 1971 and became the instant father of Tanya, Steven, Twila, Mark, Sonya and Marci all between 15 and six years of age. At that time Bill always stated "I have the family I have always wanted - my life is complete". Bill worked for North American Van Lines until 1972 when Bill and Shell opened Clark's Artesia Curios, a turquoise and leather shop. They closed the business in Feb. of 1980 when Bill went back to working on the road. Bill retired in 1998 from Willis Shaw. In 2001 Bill decided to go back to work part time for Roger Fairchild in Fruitland until Sept. 2006. Bill enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping. He has many fond memories with his 15 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. He looked forward to "happy-hour" with his friends at The Whitewater Saloon in Meridian. Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Aunt Eunice and Aunt Marjorie (Bluebell). He is survived by his loving wife, Shell, children: Tanya (Doug) Lopez, Steven Dillon, Twila (Terry) Collins, Mark Dillon, Sonya (Aaron) Bright and Marci (Mark) Bailey, 15 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren, his sisters: Madeline Bozarth and Beverly Eschman of Topeka, Kan. and Larry (Jennifer) Dana whom Bill took under his wing at an early age and considered him his son. Bill is also survived by his extended family and many friends. A viewing will be held on Sunday, July 22, 2007 from 6 - 8 p.m. at Bowman Funeral Parlor, 5525 N. Glenwood St. Garden City, ID.
