Steven Wayne Warren, 60, of Princeton passed away unexpectedly Friday, July 3, 2020 at his home. Born in Princeton on August 25, 1959, he was the son of the late Maitland “Jughead” and Elizabeth Hansbarger “Betty” Warren. In addition to his parents, Steve was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, John Henry and Clara Hansbarger; paternal grandmother, Helen “Mamie” Warren; half-sister, Lanie A. McClaugherty and his second wife, Jenene Warren. Steve was a 1977 graduate of Princeton Senior High School and attended Concord College before going to work at Celanese Acetate Corporation. Steve spent his working career at Celanese plant in Narrows before retiring. An avid WVU Mountaineer, Pittsburgh Steelers, and Boston Bruins fan. Steve enjoyed may hobbies including, football, hockey, playing golf, a good poker game, music of all genres, spending time at the beach, and motorcycles and cars. Steve had recently began collecting replicas of various cars. Steve was a beloved father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. Left behind to cherish his memory is his son, Jason and wife Kathleen of Princeton, WV; daughter, Kristen Warren Shady and husband Abdalla of Pearisburg, VA; granddaughters, Aliyaa Shady, Daliya Shady, and Amirah Shady of Pearisburg, VA; half-brother, Herb McClaugherty of Princeton, WV; first wife and life-long friend, Naomi Martin of Pearisburg, VA; former mother-in-law, Lillie Mae Hazelwood of Elgood, WV; nieces, Alicia Smith of Princeton, WV and Heather Cisco of High Point, NC; many life-long and dear friends; and last but not least, his sweet doggy, “Little Miss” whom he loved and cared for the past 18 years.. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 PM, Thursday, July 9, 2020 George W. Seaver Chapel of Seaver Funeral Home in Princeton with Pastor Dana Hazelwood officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Friends may call at the funeral home from 12:00 Noon until the service hour on Thursday.Please follow all recommended guidelines from the Govenor and local health department by practicing social distancing and wearing of masks for your safety and safety of others.

Steve was a very good friend to me,as well as being there to help me learn a new job he also help me through a bad break up. Our song and moto was Heres A Quarter. We always handed each other a quarter when we saw each other. We got our motorcycle license together. Ride strong buddy. I love you. YOU WILL BE MISSED

I only knew Steve from Facebook and i am not sure how. But he was the nicest guy ever and we shared similar music such as RUSH. I am so sad to hear this. I know he is in rock n roll heaven.
