Eunice Capper Obituary

Eunice Amanda Capper
age 105, passed away on Nov. 15, 2014 at the Canton Christian Home. She was born Aug. 14, 1909 in Clarington, Ohio to Charles and Victoria Boetticher. She spent most of her adult life in Pennsylvania and Florida where she enjoyed being a beautician and running her own shop. In recent years she moved to Canton to be close to family. Eunice enjoyed traveling and considered her trips to the Holy Land and Hawaii as her favorites.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by three fine Christian husbands, Clinton R. King, Guy Priestley, and Thomas Capper; sisters, Wanda Pinkerman and Olive Rose; brother, Garret Boetticher, and niece, Carole Okey. She is survived by sister, Lena Okey (Canton); niece, Sandra Cheyney (Massillon); nephew, Robert Okey (Canton); nephew, Eugene Rose (Tennessee); step daughter, Laura (Mike) Buckland (Michigan); step daughter, Joan Priestley (Texas); great-nieces, Christine (Glenn) Boyd (Canal Fulton), Kathy (Bill) Graening (Jackson Township), Dianne Sandi (Akron); great-nephews, J. Brian Okey (Canton), Bob Okey (Akron), and David (Michelle) Okey (Hartville). Eunice also delighted in many great-great nieces and nephews. Eunice was a life-long Methodist and worshiped at the Eleventh Street Church of God following her move to Canton. She will be remembered and sorely missed by all who knew her as an intelligent, generous Christian woman with a quick wit.
Reed Funeral Home in Canton is handling funeral arrangements. There will be no calling hours and Rev. Randy Shafer will conduct a private memorial service. Burial will be in Clarington, Ohio. In place of flowers, memorials may be given to the Eleventh Street Church of God Building Fund.
