PATRICK SCHUMACHER Obituary
March 31, 1990-January 20, 2021
It is with deep sadness and grief to announce the sudden passing of our beloved Patrick. Patrick was born March 31, 1990 and went to be with the Lord and his grandparents on January 20, 2021.
Patrick grew up as a happy boy on Alabama Avenue with his parents Paula (Notch) and Eric, and sister Noelle. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Jim and Eilene Schumacher and Allan Notch. Survivors include Grandmother Bernice Notch; Aunt and Uncles Jody and Brady Stewart, Cindi and Steve Williams, Judy and Steve Notch; Cousins Paige and Payton Stewart, Angela and Jessie Lavoie, Michelle and Wade Starr. Patrick graduated from Washington High School in 2009 where was nominated as the Outstanding Senior Boy. He was also a member of the football team. Proudly, Patrick enjoyed his time as a member of the last class from Lorin Andrews Middle School where he was a member of the football team. In 2016 Patrick met the love of his life Abbey Nagel. Practically inseparable for the last five years they were in the midst of planning their engagement and marriage. Abbey and Patrick loved each other deeply and will be soulmates forever. All those who came in contact with Patrick immediately recognized his warm heart and goodness. The family would like to thank all those who have already expressed their concern, love and sympathy over the last few days.
A memorial service will be held Monday, January 25th., at
6 p.m. at Faith Family Church, 8200 Freedom Ave NW, Canton, Ohio 44720. Faith Family has a couple thousand seats so social distancing protocols can be followed. We ask if you come to please wear a mask. This is a funeral service, not calling hours. Attendees will come in and take their seats prior to the service. We feel fortunate that we have a venue that will keep people safe but at the same time be able to honor Patrick and his too short life. In lieu of flowers we ask for donations to be sent to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

Patrick was such a bright light any time he was around. I've known him since middle school and it was always such a friendly reunion any time we ran into each other. Sending so many prayers to his family and beautiful girlfriend during such a difficult time.

I worked at Stark State College, and Patrick's mom, Paula, was questioning about getting her knee done in February since I just had mine done. Words cannot express the sorrow I feel for you and your family. Children should never die before their parents as we are parents of losing our 22 year old daughter in 2011 at the age of 22. Peace, Prayers, and Love for you all.
