April Rose Dorey, 28 of Anderson, passed at AnMed Health Monday, July 20, 2015.
She was born in Brunswick, Maine April 15, 1987 to Peter Dorey and Annette McKinley. She attended schools in both Maine and South Carolina and graduated from Belton - Honea Path High School in 2005.
She is survived by son, Jace and his parents Adam and Rachel Hackett of Travelers Rest, her mother and stepfather, Annette and Kevin McKinley of Anderson; father, Peter Dorey of Richmond, Maine; sister, Nicole Gillespie and wife Erica of Williamston; brother Kyle Dorey and his wife Kayla of Bowdoinham, Maine, and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her paternal grandfather, Christopher Dorey and maternal grandfather Anthony Coratti.
April had a love for horses and photography. She enjoyed cooking and relaxing while watching her favorite movies. She was known for her warm heart and strong love for helping others.
The family will be gathering at 202 Hannah Circle in Anderson. A private ceremony will be held at a later date. The family asks that if you are in or know of someone who is in a harmful relationship to seek help and do not wait until it's too late.
