Arlie Meadows Obituary

ARLIE "POPS" EDMOND MEADOWS BELTON - Arlie "Pops" Edmond Meadows, 81, husband of Mary Elizabeth Brinkley Meadows of 1912 Trail Rd. died July 20, 2008 at AnMed Health Medical Center. Born in Beckley, West VA, he was of Methodist faith and a US Army Veteran of WWII. He was the last surviving member of immediate family. He worked for Callaham Builders for 25yrs, remodeled and built homes, and tennis court in and around the Belton and Anderson area. Surviving are: daughters, Vickie and Beverly; 7 step children including Danny Sams and Jean Sams of Belton; 25 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren including Josh Gartland of Belton. He was preceded in death by his son, Larry Meadows, granddaughter, Michelle Gartland, grandson, Jimmy Tinsley, 7 sisters, and 5 brothers. Graveside service will be held 2pm Thursday at Garden of Memories with Rev. Kyle Antone officiating. Burial will follow. The family will receive friends from 2pm until 4pm Wednesday at Cox Funeral Home. The family will be at the home of Danny Sams, 302 Myrtle Ave. Belton.
