Barbara Knox Whitlow, age 78, passed away on Friday, September 4, 2015 in Anderson.

Born in Iva, SC, on February 25, 1937, she was the daughter of the late James Lacel Knox and the late Claris Bruce Knox Gillespie and her husband Keith R. Gillespie. Barbara was a graduate of T.L. Hanna High School. She was a member of Concord Baptist Church.

She was formerly married to Donald Ray Whitlow and is survived by their children, Gregory Knox Whitlow and Kimberly Whitlow Candido; one brother, Sam Knox; and three grandchildren, Anne Elizabeth Candido, Michael Whitlow Candido, and James Holbrook Whitlow.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Susan Ann Whitlow and a brother, Larry Knox.

The Memorial Service will be held at Concord Baptist Church on Tuesday, September 8, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. with Dr. Don Cox officiating.

The family will be held at the residence and will receive friends at the church, prior to the service on Tuesday from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m.
