Doyle Looney Obituary
ANDERSON, S.C.
Doyle S. Looney, 80, of Anderson, S.C. passed away Tuesday, November 25, 2014 at Rainey Hospice House.
Born in Rayle, Ga.; he was married to the late Patsy Looney and a member of Temple Baptist Church. He was a retired mechanic with Duke Power Company and loved motorcycles.
He is survived by his sons: Michael D. Looney, Sr. (Janice) and Mark S. Looney (Marty); sisters: Louise Blakey and Mary Floyd both of Dublin, Ga.; grandchildren: Michael Looney (Lora), Kevin Looney (Tiffany), Elizabeth Cranford (Jason), Rebecca Shaw (Justin), and Angie Looney; great-grandchildren: Zach, McKenna, Aiden, Addy, Kendall, and Jacob; as well as a number of nephews and nieces.
In addition to his wife; he is also predeceased by a brother; O.H. Looney and Claud T. Looney, Jr.; and sisters: Martha Ward and Edna Crowley.
Services officiated by Dr. Steve Hurte and Dr. Larry Pearson will be held at 4 p.m. on Sunday, November 30, 2014 at Temple Baptist Church. Private burial services will be held.
The family will be at their respective homes and will receive friends prior to the service at the church on Sunday from 2:30 p.m. - 4 p.m.
Sosebee Mortuary and Crematory, Downtown Chapel, is assisting the family.
