Edward Vickery Obituary

EDWARD 'BOE' EDWARD VICKERY, SR.
ANDERSON - Edward 'Boe' Vickery Sr., 77, of Anderson, SC went to be with the Lord on Wednesday April 13, 2011 at Regency Hospital in Greenville, SC.
Born in Anderson, SC on March 25, 1934; he is the son of the late Garlon and Ruth Grant Vickery. He served in the National Guard and was a member of the Townville Church of God.
He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years Carolyn Hall Vickery; sons: Edward E. Vickery Jr. and Randy G. Vickery (Ann); daughters: Tracy Smith (Art Jones) and Vanessa R. Hayes (Howard); 5 brothers; 3 sisters; 5 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren and best friend Mike Smith.
In addition to his parents; he is also preceded in death by a son Gary Vickery and a brother.
Services will be held in the funeral home chapel officiated by Rev. Julian Elrod and Rev. Clyde Tippins on Saturday April 16, 2011 at 11:00 am. Burial will follow in Oaklawn Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm at the funeral home on Friday April 15, 2011.
The family will be at the home of his daughter, 108 Old Denver Rd, Anderson, SC.
In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the Townville Church of God, PO Box 197, Townville, SC 29689.
Woodlawn Sosebee Funeral Home and Cremation Services will be assisting the family with the arrangements.

We were saddened to hear of Ed's passing, but rejoicing because we know that he is in Heaven with our Heavenly Father who he loves so much. We will miss him. You are in our prayers.
