Emily Bobo Obituary
Pendleton, SC
Emily Taylor Bobo, 75, wife of Ben Alton Bobo, passed away on January 31, 2014 after a courageous fight against breast cancer.
Born February 16, 1938 in Anderson, she was the daughter of the late George and Eva Addis Taylor. Emily graduated from Lebanon High School and attended Lander College. Her many joys were rooted in her family, friends and lifelong attendance at Lebanon Baptist Church. Everyone loved her ever present smile and positive attitude.
She is survived by her husband, Alton Bobo of the home, son, Brent Bobo , and his wife, Shari, of Sarasota, FL and her grandson, Matthew Bobo, of Anderson, two sisters, Doris Hopper of Iva and Madolon Dalrymple of Pendleton and two brothers, Harold Taylor of Anderson , and Roy Taylor of Pendleton. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Gary Taylor.
Funeral service will be held at 3 p.m., Sunday at Lebanon Baptist Church with Reverend Harry Warren officiating. The family will receive friends from 2 until 3 p.m. at the church prior to the service. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
The family would like to express their gratitude to her caregiver, Misty Ann Kellett, her church family, Dr. Reginald Brooker and his staff, and Hospice of the Upstate for their compassionate care.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Lebanon Baptist Church, 5150 Gentry Rd., Anderson, SC 29621 or Hospice of the Upstate, 1835 Rogers Rd., Anderson, SC 29621.

Mr Bobo I spoke with you earlier today and I don't know you at all but I share my empathy with you. On behalf of the company I work for I send you my love and deepest sympathy. I feel as though you have no lost sir but a gain. The most high creator will hold and keep you because your mothers strength is within you. Her fight shall be remembered. I will wear pink to work all week for you!!!

I always thought a lot of Emily and she was such a pleasure to be around and always had such nice smile and cared about everyone.
May God bring you all Comfort and Peace during this difficult time.

Brent, Alton, and Family: We are so saddened to hear of Emily's death. I always loved to be around Emily and her big smile and laugh. I have many wonderful memories of our days at North Anderson. You are certainly in our thoughts and prayers.
