Howard Hooper

Anderson - Howard Hooper, 77, of Anderson, SC, passed away, Tuesday, January 12, 2021, at Rainey Hospice House.

He was born January 27, 1943, in Hall County, GA, and was the son of the late Edward Louie Hooper and Ruby Nell Beasley Hooper.

Howard was retired from Springs Industries in Hartwell, GA after 29 years of service with the company. He was a fan of NASCAR, football and trivia games. Howard also enjoyed a little gambling and watching old western classics.

He is survived by his wife, Geraldine Page Hooper; son, Howard "Tony" Hooper (Karen); daughter, Melanie Hooper Stammer; sister, Betty Sue Lewallen; grandchildren, Amanda Gable, Heather Welborn, David Hooper, Elizabeth Wade, Amber Stammer, Nikki Arnold, Sierra Tribby, Emily Eskew, and Savannah Eskew; and 8 great-grandchildren. Also surviving is a special friend to Howard and his family, Billy Terry.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Wilma Jean Adams; and brother, Jerry Wayne Hooper.

Family and friends may pay their respects and sign the Guest Register on Friday, January 15, 2021, from 9:00 am to noon at The McDougald Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow at 2:00 pm at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. Social distancing will be observed and masks are encouraged.
