Jackie Medlock Obituary

Jackie Medlock IVA - Jackie Elizabeth Brock Medlock, 51, wife of Tommy Medlock, of 4411 Trail Rd., died Friday, January 2, 2009 at AnMed Health Center. Born in Anderson County she was a daughter of the late Jack L. and Kathryn York Brock. She was a member of Asaville Baptist Church. She was employed by Anderson District Schools at Wright Elementary School. Surviving are her husband of the home, a son, T.J. Medlock and wife Dottie of Iva, and a precious granddaughter, Allibeth Medlock, and two special puppies, Wylie and Little Bit. Funeral services will be held at 4 P.M. Tuesday at Asaville Baptist Church with Rev. Harold Walters and Rev. Ralph Ashley officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 P.M. Monday at Pruitt Funeral Home and from 3 to 4 P.M. Tuesday at the church prior to the service. The family is at the home. Tommy, TJ, Dottie and Allibeth my heart goes out to all of you. There have been times when we laughed together and cryed together but God makes no mistakes. Jackie touched so many people young and old. She did not let her illness stand in her way. She was an inspiration to many. You are in our hearts and prayers. I will always be there for each of you.

Dear Tommy, TJ, Dottie and family, Jackie's passing leaves a large hole in the community-she always had a smile for everybody and never had anything bad to say-she truly lived a Christian life. I loved Jackie as my sister and know she felt the same , I watched her in the good time's and the bad time's.. But now I am sure she has the complete healing and no longer suffering . She now can walk and no longer in her wheelchair. Tonight I can say God is so good as today the sun shined as you prayed for it. That sunshine was her smile to you. My name is Karrington I am in the 6th grade at Wright.. i want you all to know how much she touched me! i have only been at Wright 2 1/2 years but she was the one i looked up too...she also made sure i was ok and that i had all of my work ready to turn in! i never had a teacher or anyone at a school take so much time with me!!! i am so thankful to have had the chance to love her..i hope gods knows what he has! there is always a special place in my heart for her!!! i am so s0rry for your loss...with lots of love karrington
