James Brackett Obituary

Mr. James Nelson Brackett, Sr.
LAKE CITY, FL - Mr. James Nelson Brackett, Sr., 66, died at North Florida Regional Medical Center in Gainesville, Fl; after an extended illness .
He was the son of the late James D. Brackett. And had lived in Lake City for the past three years after moving here from Toccoa, GA; he was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church, and enjoyed fishing, singing, playing guitar and messing around with old cars. He was preceded in death by one son Michael Brackett.
He is survived by his wife Camilla Brackett, Lake City, FL; mother Mae Sue Gurley, Ormond Beach, FL;.; two sons James N. Brackett, Jr. (April), Griffin, GA; Richard D. Brackett, Forest Park, GA; one daughter Wanda K. Dixion McDonough, GA; one step son Tillman L. Gibson, Lake City, FL; two step daughters Felicia Gibson and Christy Whitefield South Carolina one brother Bobby C. Brackett, Melborne, FL; two sisters Evelyn Wilbanks (Eugene) Rose Hill, KS; Donna D. Ramsey (Carlton) Ormond Beach, FL; six grandchildren and one great grandchild also survive.
Services will be conducted Saturday June 11, 2011 at 2:00 P.M in the Dees-Parrish Family Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
