ANDERSON, SC - Jo Ann Kelley, age 76, passed away Saturday, March 12, 2011 at AnMed Health Medical Center.
Born in Hartwell, GA on November 14, 1934 to the late Milledge Thrasher and Minnie Wright Thrasher, Mrs. Kelley was known as a loving wife, nurturing mother and grandmother. She was a Baptist.
Mrs. Kelley is survived by her husband, Norman Kelley; her son, Richard Sears of Anderson, SC; three daughters, Karen Jenkins and her husband David of Louisville, KY, Lynn Ladner of Louisville, KY, and Debra Roe and her husband Craig of Anderson, SC; four stepchildren, Norma Jean Martin, Larry Randall Kelley, Theresa Lynn Fleming and Tammy Marie Eskew; three brothers, Junior Thrasher, James "Dink" Thrasher and Jerry Thrasher; three sisters, Mary Thomas, Louise Williamson and Janelle Cain; six grandchildren, Scott Hamilton, Mandy Sears, Jonathon Roe, Stacie Sears, Devon Jenkins, and Jordan Harris; five great-grandchildren and several step-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Kelley is predeceased by three brothers and one sister.
The Funeral Service will be at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, March 15, 2011 in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home with the Reverends Curtis Lanier and David Lee Callaham officiating. Interment will follow in Oaklawn Memorial Gardens.
The family will be at the home of a sister, Janelle Cain, 305 Gordon Circle, Anderson, and will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm on Monday, March 14, 2011.
