John Franklin Baker, II
Anderson, SC
John Franklin Baker, II, age 44, of Anderson, SC, passed away on Wednesday, December 11, 2013.
He was the brother and brother-in-law of Drs Dole and Cari Baker of Anderson, SC.
Born in Baltimore, MD, he was the son of Ruth W. Baker and the late Dole P. Baker, Sr. Mr. Baker was a 1993 graduate of Ohio State University, where he played goalie on the Lacrosse team. He went into the insurance industry after college, later graduated from the University of Baltimore Law School in 2003 and became an attorney specializing in risk and insurance law. He moved to Anderson about 4years ago to pursue a practice in family law. He also enjoyed playing goalie for a men's recreational lacrosse team in Greenville with his brother, Dole.
He is survived and greatly missed by a son, Justin Baker, of Richmond, VA; two brothers, Dr. Dole Baker and his wife Cari, of Anderson, and William R. Baker and his wife Terry, of Baltimore, MD; a sister, Cathy Cook and her husband Bill, of Raleigh, NC; and nieces and nephews, Ainsley Baker, Catie Baker, Parker Baker, Madeline and Sydney Baker; Alexandra Baker; John Cook, Katy Cook.
The Memorial Service will be held at Grace Episcopal Church on Saturday, December 21, 2013 at 3:30 p.m. with Father Jack Hardaway officiating.
The family will receive friends at The McDougald Funeral Home on Friday, December 20, from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Anderson County Humane Society, 235 Camson Road, Anderson, SC 29625 or to Greenville Humane Society, 305 Airport Road, Greenville, SC 29607.

Words cannot begin to express our sympathy for the loss to so many. He was blessed with a large loving and supportive family. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you with an extra prayer with hugs to Justin. Justin, you were your Dad's entire world. He lived for you more than himself. He was a wonderful Father, Brother, Son, Uncle and Friend. I will miss him so much and had so much love for him. I will always carry him with me.
