Joyce Compton Obituary

JOYCE PHILYAW COMPTON
HEPHZIBAH, GA - Joyce Marie Philyaw Compton, age 79, of Bell Drive, in Hephzibah died at her home on Sunday, November 1, 2009.
Mrs. Compton was cremated and all services will be private.
Survivors include her husband of 62 years, William L. Compton; daughter, JoLee Marie Long; son, William Lee Compton, Jr., grandchildren, Mark Long, David Scott Compton, Rebecca Diana Green, Jessica Compton, Alicia Marie Compton; brothers, Rev. Robert Philyaw and Laverne Philyaw.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Angela Compton Reese; her parents, Guy and Marie Crawford Philyaw, brother, Norman Philyaw and sister, Lona Philyaw.
Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 1899 Central Avenue, Augusta, GA, 30904 or online at www.alz.org.
