Marjorie Burgess Obituary

MARJORIE R. BURGESS
GREER-Marjorie Helen Ross Burgess, 84, wife of William Kenneth Burgess, of 708 Memorial Drive Ext., died Saturday, September 4, 2010 at her home.
A native of Greenwood, she was a daughter of the late Marvin and Lena Mae Gilmer Ross, a retired registered nurse and member of Greer First Baptist Church.
Surviving also are a daughter and son-in-law, Connie and Carey Gant of Piedmont; a son and daughter-in-law, Ross and Tammy Burgess of Greer; a sister, Betsy Hopkins of Anderson; two sisters-in-law, Ethel Ross of Chesnee and Barbara Ross of Athens, Ga; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, September 7, 2010 at the Wood Mortuary chapel, conducted by Dr. Rick Ezell, Dr. Drew Hines and Rev. Kenneth Holland. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memory Gardens.
Visitation will be held 9:45 until 10:45 a.m. Tuesday at the mortuary.
The family is at the home.
Memorials may be made to Lutheran Hospice, 218-A Trade Street, Greer, S.C. 29651.
