ANDERSON, SC-Michael F. "Gopher" Arlfin, age 55, of 206 Wellington Court, was called home to be with his Savior on March 5, 2011. Born to Inez Sutherland Arflin and the late George F. Arlfin, he attended Homeland Park Church of God and went to NHC Healthcare with some of his church family for Sunday School Service with the residents.
In addition to his beloved mother, he is survived by sisters: Brenda (Glenn) Deal, Patsy Getsinger, Pam (Mike) Capps, Cathey Arflin, and Georgia Shirley; brothers: Allen (Sandy) Arflin, Tony and Shon (Rhonda) Harper. Michael didn't have any children of his own but was very close to his brothers and sisters children and their children. He was predeceased by his father, George Arlfin; and his brother, Larry "Joe" Arflin.
The Funeral Service will be held at 2pm on Tuesday, March 8, 2011, in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home conducted by the Reverend Vernon Soles and the Reverend Bobby Smith. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
The family is at the home and will receive friends at the funeral home from 7pm until 9pm on Monday.
