Patricia McLane Cheslak White, age 77, entered the Church Triumphant upon her death at Marchbanks Assisted Living on Saturday, October 15, 2016. Born in Seneca, SC on November 22, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Oliver Cromwell McLane, Jr. and the late Edna Boggs McLane. She was twice married, first to the late Warren M. Cheslak and second, to the late James Leonard White.

Mrs. White was a graduate of Seneca High School, Class of 1957. She later attended and graduated from Forrest College in Anderson. For twenty-nine years, Mrs. White served as an Executive Secretary at Anderson Memorial Hospital. She was also secretary of the Medical Society for thirty years. For many years, she was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church where she served as President of the Women's Club, and also the Anderson Garden Club. Mrs. White was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Anderson.

Survivors include four sons, Tom Cheslak (Carol), of Charlotte, NC and Tim Cheslak (Kim), of Anderson, SC, Chris Cheslak of Seneca, and Patrick Cheslak of Memphis, TN; two step-sons, Leonard White and Robert White (Pauline); two brothers, Richard McLane (Sue) of Seneca and Jack W. McLane, also of Seneca; a sister, Brenda Rackley (Daryl) of Valdosta, GA.; also surviving are eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and two husbands, Patricia was preceded in death by a brother, Oliver Luther McLane.

The funeral service to celebrate and honor the life of Mrs. Patricia White will be held on Wednesday, October 19, 2016, at 11 a.m. at the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home with Reverend Dr. Dennis Tedder and Charmaine Smith-Miles officiating. Entombment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park Mausoleum. The family will receive friends at The McDougald Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 18, 2016, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m.

So sorry to hear about Pat. I worked with her at AnMed for many years in the Pathology Department. She was the one who actually hired me. What a funny lady! Prayers for your family!
