The Unity Mortuary of Anderson announces that family and friends of Paul Anthony Pickens will gather at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, June 29, 2017 to celebrate his life at Piney Grove Baptist Church, Anderson, SC with interment to follow in the church cemetery. The family is at 3406 New Pond Road, Anderson, SC 29626.
He is survived by his wife, Joann Pickens of the home; two sons, Paul Anthony Pickens, Jr. and Johnathan Cole Pickens both of Anderson, SC; mother, Ella B. Pickens; sisters, Mary Bennett ( Louis) of San Antonia , TX, Gwenloyn Williford, Eva Pickens, Teresa Pickens all of Anderson, SC, Katharie Blakely ( Barry) of Laurens, SC and , Patricia Pickens of Anderson, SC; brothers, Eddie Hollings of Anderson, SC, Nathaniel Pickens, Jr. of Salinas, CA., David Pickens of Brunswick, GA. , Micheal Pickens of Anderson, SC, Timothy Pickens of Panama City, FL., John Pickens ( Stephanie) of Weatherfield, CT. and, Daryl Pickens (Hope) of Charleston, SC; mother-in-law, two sisters-in-law, and one brother-in-law; loyal friend, Timothy ' Timmy' Gray; and a host of other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Nathaniel Pickens, Jr.; grandparents, Edna Pickens Latimer and Bill Cunningham and Mary Cunningham.
