Roy Austin Davis Obituary
Seneca, SC
Roy Austin Davis, 78, husband of the late Jean Buchanan Davis, of 609 W. Springwood Drive, Seneca, passed away Friday, October 5, 2018, at GHS Cottingham Hospice House.
A native of Robbinsville, NC, Mr. Davis was the son of the late James Lee Davis and Christine Smathers Hedrick. He retired from Duke Energy. Mr. Davis was a member of the Seneca Masonic Lodge, Hejaz Temple and Seneca Baptist Church.
Mr. Davis is survived by his son: Russell Davis (Debbie) of Greenville, TX; daughter: Candi Davis of Seneca, SC; sister: Betty Jean Abernathy of Asheville; and one granddaughter: Rebecca Davis.
The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 PM, Monday, October 8, 2018, at Davenport Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 PM, Wednesday, October 10, 2018, at Townson-Smith Funeral Home, Robbinsville, NC. Burial will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, October 11, 2018, at Mt. Creek Baptist Church Cemetery, Robbinsville, NC. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 PM, Wednesday, prior to the service, at Townson-Smith Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Oconee Hospice of the Foothills, GHS Cottingham Hospice House, Attn: Foundation Office, 298 Memorial Drive, Seneca, SC 29672.
The family is at their respective homes.
