Steve Campbell Obituary
Anderson, SC
Stephen Augustus Campbell, 65, of 207 Lakewood Drive, husband of Janice Gambrell Campbell, passed away Sunday, May 25, 2014 at the Rainey Hospice House.
Born February 9, 1949 in Anderson, he was the son of the late Ervin Carroll Campbell, Sr. and Thelma Bolt Campbell. Steve served in the South Carolina National Guard for many years and retired from Michelin Tire Company. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed working at Cobb's Glen Country Club after his retirement. He was a member of Concord Baptist Church.
Surviving are his wife, Janice Gambrell Campbell of the home; son, Stephen Chad Campbell and his wife, Cathy Garrison Campbell of Anderson; 2 grandsons, Stephen Chase Campbell and Garrison Cole Campbell and brother, E.C. "Butch" Campbell, Jr. and his wife, April Minor Campbell of Anderson.
Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Sullivan-King Mortuary with Rev. Bob Marcaurelle, Dr. Mack Tester officiating. Burial will follow at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 5 until 7 p.m. at Sullivan-King Mortuary, 3205 Hwy North 81.
The family is at the home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of the Upstate, 1835 Rogers Road, Anderson, SC 29621 or Clean Start, 219 Townsend Street, Anderson, SC 29625.
