Val Kolak Obituary
Belton, S.C.
Valentine Wally Kolak, 95, of 1422 Trail Road, widower of the late Margaret Smith Kolak, died Monday, August 12, 2013 at Rainey Hospice House.
Born in New York State, he was a member of Austin Road Baptist Church, he served in the U.S. Army in WWII and was a retired carpenter.
Surviving are: two step-daughters, Patricia A. Smith and husband James of Honea Path and Mary Lee Westmoreland of Travelers Rest and a special friend, Sarah Timms.
Funeral Services will be held Thursday at 1:30 p.m. at Pruitt Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Billy Slatten officiating. Burial to follow at Dolly Cooper Veterans Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 1:30 prior to the service. Memorials may be made to Austin Road Baptist Church, 1619 Austin Road, Honea Path, SC 29654.
The family is at the home of Patricia and James Smith, 2 Harvey Drive, Honea Path. ParkerWhitePruitt Funeral Homes and Crematory in charge of arrangements. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.parkerwhitepruitt.com

As a little girl, I remember, a man, who worked so hard with his hands, little words spoken, big ears, overhauls and a hammer in hand. I wished, we had more time so we could share how we all have grown over the years. Val, you are the one that I was named after, I only hope I can live up to the person you were. Please say, Hi to Jerry in Heaven for me, I know, he can't wait to see you. He'll have so much to say. You will be missed but l know, you're in Heaven with the ones, who have went on. May God bless your family, who is left here. I'll be thinking of them. Valerie
