August 30, 1965 - January 24, 2023
Mrs. Beth Ann Gilland Garmon, 57, of Concord, passed away peacefully Tuesday, Jan. 24, 2023, after a long fought battle with ovarian cancer.
The family will receive friends at Wilkinson Funeral Home, Saturday, Jan. 28, from 12 to 2 p.m. A funeral service will follow in the chapel at 2 p.m., with the Rev. Matthew Laughter officiating. She will be laid to rest at Carolina Memorial Park.
Beth was born Aug. 30, 1965, in Cabarrus County, and was the daughter of the late Kenneth A. and Letha McEachern Gilland. She was also preceded in death by her in-laws, Odell A. and Dot Hatley Garmon; and sister-in-law, Gail Richardson.
Beth and her husband loved spending time at the beach. They called it, their "get-away place." She also enjoyed sewing, crocheting, and shopping. Her life was filled with so much love and laughter, and that's the memories her family will hold on to. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband, Kevin Garmon; special cousin, Becky Collins and husband, Joe; sister, Lisa Hall; aunt, Shirley McEachern Dover; nieces, Megan Smith and husband, Rodney, Lindsey Hammill and partner, Brandon; nephew, Brian Helms; great-niece, Hailey; great-nephews, Carson, and Tripp; her canine fur baby, Sadie; her feline fur baby, KiKi; and a host of extended relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice & Palliative Care of Cabarrus County, 5003 Hospice Lane, Kannapolis, NC 28081 or to the Cabarrus County Animal Shelter, 244 Betsy Carpenter Pl. SW, Concord, NC 28025.
