Carroll Alexander Obituary

HARRISBURG - Mr. Carroll Alexander, 86, of 4471 Alexander Hill Court, Harrisburg, passed away on Saturday, Sept. 11, 2010, at CMC-NorthEast in Concord. He was born on July 28, 1924, in Cabarrus County to the late John A. and Cenie Alexander Harris. Carroll loved his family, his church, his community, but foremost he loved our Lord and Savior. He served in the U.S. Navy in World War II, and retired from the U.S. Postal Service. He was a life time member of Harrisburg Presbyterian Church where he was an elder for many years, and a member of the Men's Bible Class. Carroll also belonged to the Shriner's Club and East Gate Masonic Lodge # 692 AF & AM. A visitation will be held at Harrisburg Presbyterian Church Fellowship Hall on Tuesday, Sept. 14, 2010, from 6 until 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held at Harrisburg Presbyterian Church on Wednesday, Sept. 15, 2010, at 2 p.m, with the Rev. John Muse and Dr. James Sample officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Graveside Military rites will be performed by the Cabarrus County Veterans Honor Guard. He is survived by his wife, Agnes Easley Alexander of the home; daughters, Angie A. Pesich of Concord, Cenie Alexander Maynard of Harrisburg, Sandra A. Harris of China Grove; grandchildren, Natalie Harris, Amanda Harris, Victoria Brown, Elizabeth Adcock, Ginny Adcock, Caroline Maynard, Nicholas Maynard; four great-grandchildren. Memorials may be made to Harrisburg Presbyterian Church Building Fund or Scholarship Fund PO Box 310 Harrisburg, NC 28075. Hartsell Funeral Home Concord is serving the Alexander family.
