Frances Chandler Obituary

Frances Marie Cruse Rogers Chandler, age 105, passed away Sunday, October 5, 2025.

Frances was born November 28, 1919 in Cabarrus County, Township #6, NC to the late Earnest Augustus Cruse and Christine Cline Cruse.

In addition to her parents, Frances was preceded in death by her sister, Alma Virginia Cruse Layfield of Baltimore, Maryland; brothers, Frank Robert Cruse and Lester Ivy Cruse, both of Concord, NC; her husbands, Corbett William Rogers of Concord, NC and Alton Chandler of Oakboro, NC; and her nephew-in-law, Lamar Barrier, of Concord, NC.

She was a graduate of the Mount Pleasant High School Class of 1937 and was employed by Barclay American Financial Services for many years.

Those left to cherish her memory are her niece, Christine Cruse Barrier of Concord, NC and nephew, Dr. Kenneth Layfield of Frederick, Maryland.

A private ceremony was held for Frances' entombment next to her loving husband, Corbett Rogers.
