Harry Ritchie Obituary
August 3, 1951 - February 26, 2025
Mr. Harry Lee Ritchie, 73, of Kannapolis, went to be with his Lord and Savior on February 26, 2025. Born August 3, 1951, to the late Oscar and Eloise Ritchie. Harry moved to Wilmington, NC where he lived and worked as an ASE certified Master Technician, specializing in Mazda, Porche and Audi. He received the Mazda Presidents Guild award in 2001.
Harry met the love of his life, Toni McDougald Ritchie and they were married November 16, 1975. They've always been a wonderful example and love and commitment. They loved spending time together playing volleyball with friends, lounging on the beach, pulling for Dale Earnhardt Sr. at the racetrack and going camping. Harry loved being involved in his kids' activities. He enjoyed coaching and watching many softball and baseball games. They moved to Kannapolis once they knew there would be grandchildren. They were his pride and joy. He loved being their "pool boy" and ensured they had lots of fun and spoiling while at Poppa and Granny's house.
He is survived by his wife, Toni; daughter, Angie (Eric) Harrison; grandchildren, Luke and Anna Harrison of Cleveland, NC; son, Edmund (Jessica) Ritchie; grandchildren, Lain and Cyrus Ritchie of Statesville, NC; and daughter, Amy Ritchie of Maysville, Ga.
Harry was a hardworking man who exemplified loyalty and strength. He loved having fun and laughing but could get you back in line with just one look.
The family will honor the life of this quiet, caring and gentle man on March 8, 2025, at Triplett Church with receiving of family and friends from 3 to 3:45 p.m., and service to follow at 4 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, send donations to The American Cancer Society or to Trellis Supportive Care Rowan 301 S Main St Ste 105, Salisbury, NC 28144. A special thank you for the wonderful support and care the Trellis team provided to our family, especially nurses Karen and Tina.
