James Deese Obituary

CONCORD - James Lazara Deese, 40, of 138 Georgia St., Concord, died on Wednesday, Aug. 19, 2009, at CMC-NorthEast. The visitation will be at 12 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 25, at Shiloh Baptist Church. The funeral will follow at 1 p.m. at the church. The Rev. James Deese will officiate. The burial will be at Rutherford Memorial Park. He was born on Sept. 22, 1968, in Cabarrus County, to the late James Albert Chavis and the late Amy C. Deese. He attended Concord High School. He was also preceded in death by his grandfather, John Juster Deese. Survivors include his son, Jaques Deese, of Kannapolis; daughters, Sharkita Clemons, of Kannapolis, Jaqueisha Deese, of Kannapolis, and McKayla Pyle, of Concord; grandson, Jayden Culbertson; brothers, Shelton Deese (Alicia), of Salisbury, Keith Deese, of Laurinburg, N.C., James Chavis, of Laurinburg, N.C., and Michael Deese, of Charlotte; sisters, Fontella Ware, of Kannapolis, Kolenda Hunter (Brian), of Spartanburg, S.C., Valeria Franklin, of Concord, Rosalind Parks, of Kannapolis, and Chassie Deese, of Concord; grandmother, Mary Lou Deese, of Concord; uncles, John Deese and Hasker Deese; and aunt, Doris Morris. Lamb Funeral Home is in charge of services. Condolences may be sent to www.lambfh.com.

I am sorry for your loss. I only spoke with JD a few times, but he was a good friend of my husbands. he was funny and full of life the few times I spoke with him. He will be truely missed and my husband will surely miss him.
