Krista Marie Cook

CHINA GROVE - Krista Marie Cook, 20, of 110 McField Drive (Enochville Community), died Tuesday, Dec. 9, 2008, at Lake Norman Regional Medical Center, Mooresville, as a result of an automobile accident. She was born July 14, 1988, in Iredell County, the daughter of Kelly and Tony Romeo of China Grove; and her birth father, Roy Bernard Cook Jr. of Concord. She attended South Rowan High School, China Grove. She was employed at General Micro Circuit, Mooresville. She was loved by her family and had a special bond with her new brother. She also loved and took care of her grandma, Sadie. She has raised a Pomeranian named Taco Bell since he was a puppy as her own baby. The funeral will be 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 14, 2008, at Whitley's Funeral Home Main Chapel, Kannapolis, officiated by the Rev. David Shoemake. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park, Kannapolis. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 13, 2008, at the funeral home. The family will be at the home of her great-grandmother, Sadie Huller, 615 N. Walnut St., Kannapolis, the remainder of the time. Survivors in additon to her parents include an older brother, Matthew Cook; a sister, Maddison Cook; and a younger brother, Brody Romeo, all of the home; her grandparents, Bobby and Geraldine Wilcox of Kannapolis, Bill and Brenda Garrigus of Kannapolis and Millie Cook of Concord; great-grandparents, Sadie Huller of Kannapolis and Alta Garrigus of Charlotte; special cousins, Justin Wilcox, Tabatha Donahue, Jasmin Solis, Yaneli Solis, Chloe Gentry, Parker Gentry and Tyler Sides.
