Larry Langston Obituary

KANNAPOLIS - Larry Andrew Langston, 59, of 1070 Marlin Drive, No. 1, Kannapolis, passed away Wednesday, April 18, 2007, at the Brian Center in Salisbury. Funeral will be Tuesday, April 24 at 4 p.m. at First Christian Church, 158 Rone St. S.W., Concord. Visitation will be at 3 p.m. before the service. The Rev. Phyllis Gill will officiate the service. Burial will be in Rutherford Memorial Park. Mr. Langston was born Dec. 14, 1947, in Newton Grove to the late Chester Garfield and Essie Mae Langston. He was a graduate of Logan High School and attended N.C. A&T State University in Greensboro. Surviving are two sons, Rodney Langston of Concord and Adrian Langston of Granite Quarry; two brothers, Roger Langston and wife, Jean, of Waldorf, Md., and Keith Langston and wife, Mary, of Concord; three sisters, Karen Langston-Byers of Kannapolis, Cheryl Langston of Washington, D.C., and Leah Carr and husband, Lloyd, of Concord; grandmother, Ethel Stocks Spence of Brooklyn, N.Y.; and one grandchild, Jazmin Langston of Concord.
