Paul Miller Obituary

Paul Miller, Jr. KANNAPOLIS Paul Luffer Miller, Jr., 72, of Long Street, Kannapolis, died Monday, Feb. 13, 2012, at CMC NorthEast. He was born Nov. 27, 1939, to the late Paul Miller, Sr. and the late Mozell Russell Miller in Kannapolis. Paul was a lover of family, church and visiting in the Little Texas community. He loved giving advice to others. Mr. Miller was educated in his early years at Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church and enrolled at G.W. Carver High School, where he graduated with the Class of 1960. Paul joined Mt. Calvary Evangelical Lutheran Church at an early age. He was a member of the adult Sunday school class, Choir and the Peace Makers Group. Mr. Miller retired from Ferguson Boxing Company. He went to work for Johnson C. Smith and was presently employed with the Charlotte Mecklenburg School System. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Jeanetta Ford, and three sisters, Mary Hines, Kathleen Wilkerson and Durbeanur Wilkerson. Services will be held Monday, Feb. 20, at Living Water Church of God. Visitation will be from 3 to 3:30 p.m. with the funeral following at 3:30 p.m. Interment will be at Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church Cemetery. Those left to cherish his memories include one son, Paul Miller, III (Carla) of Ft. Hood, Texas; four daughters, Elizabeth Smith, Jocquelyn Lowery, Brittany Lowery and Whitney Lowery; two stepsons, Timothy Ford and Carlos Lowery; one sister Patricia M. Bankhead (Dr. Chalmers) of Kannapolis; one brother Milton Miller (Louvenia) of Kannapolis; 13 grandchildren; a special great nephew, Chalmers C. Bankhead IV, who he would visit almost every Sunday; special friend, Sarah Rice and family; and a host of other relatives and friends. Online condolences can be submitted at clarkfuneralhome inc.com. Elizabeth and family, we lift you up in prayer for the loss of your loving father, we will truly miss him. Your father,Paul Miller II,was a regular participant at our "Sunday Morning Breakfast". Rest in peace Paul, we will never forget your dedication to the "Chancel Choir" and for all your service at Mt. Calvary. Gone from us here on earth but not forgotten in our hearts. Never!!!!!!!
