When I took this picture of Sharlene, I knew it would be the perfect publicity photo for her work-in-progress book of poetry. What a beautiful writer she was, and how I miss her words and thoughts and voice. I wish Sharlene had been given more time. . . Thinking of her family and friends, Cheryl

Time hasn't erased my memory of Sharlene's beautiful face or throaty voice or burbling laughter or quick and quirky wit. . . I still remember all of it and miss her so much! Thinking of all who loved her, as did I, Cheryl
