Steve and I were only two weeks apart in age. He was 14 days older than me. After high school Steve and I went to school in Louisville, Kentucky. We were only there 6 months but we shared so much of life together. There was a high school near our school and many of the male population of that school stayed angry with us saying that we were taking all their girls. (True we were.) I did not know until then that Steve could be a scraper. He was ready to take on these men.
Steve was a good man, full of love and compassion. We shared life together for many years. Up until we left that school in Louisville we shared life and laughed a lot.
He was my very best friend and I'll never forget him.

The first 19 years of our life, Steve and did most things together. He was a close and trusted friend. He had a great influence on many. My life is richer because of Steve being in my life. He was 14 days old when I was born. Soon after that we started the longest friendship I have had. Thank you Steve. You will be missed. Sylvia, Joyce, Jenn, Erin, Jeff and Richard, you are all in my prayers. May our Lord richly bless you.
