Wayne Allen Morgan

MOUNT ULLA - Wayne Allen Morgan, 61, of 9550 Caldwell Road, died Saturday, April 15, 2006, at Rowan Regional Medical Center, Salisbury. The funeral service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church of Enochville, Kannapolis, with the Rev. Stephen Burrow officiating. The body will lie in state 30 minutes at the church. Interment will be at West Lawn Memorial Park, China Grove. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Whitley's Funeral Home. Mr. Morgan was born Feb. 26, 1945, the son of the late Edward Wayne Morgan and the late Jessie English Ramey Morgan. He was working for U.S. Securities at J.C. Penny Logistics, Statesville. He had formerly been employed at Pillowtex, Kannapolis. He attended First Baptist Church of Enochville. Survivors include his wife, Janice Phillips Morgan; two daughters, Angie Perry and husband, Jeff, of Lander, Wyo., and Tammy Long and husband, Mike, of Salisbury; two sons, Tim Morgan and Daniel Lambert, both of Salisbury; stepson, Ross Brown Jr. of Rockwell; sisters, Violet Eubanks and Shirley Morgan, both of Kannapolis; brother, Buddy Morgan of Concord; and 16 grandchildren. The family will meet at the home. Whitley's Funeral Home is serving the family of Mr. Morgan.
