Rolland Cronk Obituary

Rolland L. Cronk, 82, of Montrose, passed away on Tuesday, March 16, 2021 at the Endless Mountains Health Systems, after a brief illness.
He was born on May 2, 1938 in Bridgewater Twp., to the late George and Lulu (Wood) Cronk. His wife of 56 years, Elwanda M. (Warner) Cronk, predeceased him in 2013.
Surviving are his son and daughter-in-law, Donnie and Mary Cronk, Montrose; two grandchildren: Jason (Becky) Cronk, Binghamton, NY, and Leah Cronk and fiancé', Clayton Tyson, Montrose; three great grandchildren, Brady Tyson, Harper and Elodie Cronk; nephew, Richard (Rose) Cronk and their children; many extended family, friends, and his beloved and cherished dogs.
His brother Harold Cronk also predeceased him.
Rollie worked for many years driving a gas truck for Seddon-Lathrop, later Pump-n-Pantry; also, a school bus driver for years. He grew up on and worked his family's farm.
Rollie enjoyed camping, hunting, and fishing; and especially fishing on Lake Ontario. His hobby was softball, Rollie was one of the most feared pitchers at the South Montrose softball field. He played for Cavanaugh's, and they were former State Softball Champions.
A Graveside Service was held at 1 p.m. Friday, March 19, 2021 at Newton Hill Cemetery (above Watrous Corners); a celebration of life followed at the Bridgewater Church, 10142 SR 167, Montrose.
