Alan Weis Obituary

Alan S. Weis, 76, of Abbeville, husband of Paula Hawthorne Weis, died Friday, March 7, 2025, at his residence. He was born in Columbia, SC to the late Otto and Carol Schulken Weis.

Alan was a graduate of A.C. Flora High School in Columbia, SC and Presbyterian College in Clinton, SC. He dedicated many years of his career to the Milliken Textile Plant and Clark - Schwebel before retiring. He also owned K and N Mobile Tool Company and cherished his time working for Todd McNeill at Line-X of the Carolinas.

As a faithful member of Main Street Methodist Church, Alan actively participated in the Methodist Men, embodying the values of kindness and community service. His gentle and soft-spoken nature made him a beloved figure among friends and family alike. Alan was not just a peacekeeper; he was the heart of his family, continually offering love and support to those around him.

In addition to his parents, Alan was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Robert L. Hawthorne, whom he held in great affection.

Alan's family was his greatest joy. His forever love and best friend of 45 years, his wife, Paula; two sons, Robert Weis and his wife Brooke of Conway, SC and Wes Weis and his wife Jenna of Abbeville, SC; five very special grandchildren, Mason, Eden, Everett, Bobby and Brayden.
