Clifton Edwards Obituary
Clifton is survived by his son, Neel Edwards (wife Mandy) of Duncan; his daughter, Margaret Edwards Jones (husband Roy) of Irmo; his sister, Virginia Bonner (husband David) of Laurens; three grandchildren: Addie Jones Carroll (husband Chris), Neel Patrick Edwards, and Taylor Frances Jones; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son, Clifton Neel Edwards III; his twin brother, Claude Workman Edwards; his brother, Pete Cook Edwards; and a special aunt, Kate "Nanny" Edwards.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 15th at 5:30 PM at Stribling Funeral Home, officiated by the Reverend Brian Gilmer.
The family will receive friends prior to the service from 4:00 to 5:15 PM.
A graveside service will follow the next day, Friday, August 16th, at 11:00 AM at Greenwood Memorial Gardens, led by Clifton's brother-in-law, the Reverend David Bonner.
Pallbearers will include Chris Carroll, Stephen Edwards, Roy Jones, Jerry Jennings, David Spencer and Brian Witt.
Memorials may be made to Troy Methodist Church (127 Church St. PO Box 158, Troy, SC 29848)
or Providence Care (634 Fairview Rd. Simpsonville, SC 29680).

During my time in Spartanburg 5, I enjoyed Cliff as a co-worker, confidante, and most importantly a friend. He was an excellent educator/administrator, and to this day I continue share the life lessons he taught me with my friends, children and grands. RIP my friend.
