Helen Leverette Obituary
Survivors include her former husband John D. Leverette, McCormick, SC: children John (Carla) Leverette, Covington GA, Shelby Webb, Augusta, GA, Kendall Leverette, Smyrna, GA and Titus Iglehart, Charlotte, NC. Her beloved grandchildren LaMar (Victoria) Leverette, Zachtavious (Porscher) Leverette, Paloma White, MaKayla & Shalisa Webb, Tylen Leverette and a much anticipated 7th grandchild; great-grandchildren Elijah, ZJ, Kauri, Kyaire, Bryce, ZaMar, Ryan, Jayce, Zalayh and Zaryh.
Her nieces Edwenta (Willie) Perrin-Lewis and Shelonda Mims; her nephews Keith Barr, Quinith (Theresa) Cunningham and Patrick Morgan; great nieces Nicole, Makita, khadeidre, Adrienne, Zai'Kerian and Janae; great nephews Quintavis, Tyree, Brandon, Tylik and Caleb, great-great nieces, nephews and a host of cousins.
Ms. Leverette was pre-deceased by her parents Otis W. Mims and Azielee Crawford-Mims and her brothers Willie, Clement, Alfred and Rufus Mims; and her niece Alfrecia Mims.
Helen Jean was a faithful member of Pine Grove AME Church where she held numerous positions over the years. She was a graduate of Mims High School, McCormick, SC Class of 1956; she also attended Piedmont Technical College, Greenwood, SC where she studied Business Administration as well as Charzanne School of Cosmetology, Greenwood, SC.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Friday, March 9, Pine Grove AME Church 317 Pine Grove Church Rd. Plum Branch, SC 29845.
