Peggy Addy Bowers

Peggy Addy Bowers, 64, resident of Ninety Six, wife of William Anthony "Tony" Bowers, passed away Friday, January 17, 2025, at Baptist Hospital in Columbia, SC.

Born October 23, 1960, in Greenwood, SC, and was raised in Saluda County, SC. She was a daughter of Felix Carl Addy and the late Joyce Ozean Leopard Addy. She was a 1978 graduate of Saluda High School and employed with The Countybanc Insurance Company. Peggy was a member of Harris Baptist Church.

Surviving in addition to her husband of 38 years are a mother and father-in-law, Bill Bowers and Jean Bowers of Greenwood; two daughters, Lauren Foushee (Jimmy) of Columbia, SC and Addy Kanellos (Paul) of Lexington, SC; a son, Anthony Bowers of Greenwood, SC; two sisters, Linda Nix (Billy) of Saluda and Debra Perry (Tony) of Saluda; two brothers, Ricky Addy of Saluda and Chris Addy of Saluda; six grandchildren, Jay Foushee, Elsie Grace Foushee, Livie Foushee, Annie Foushee, Isaac Foushee, and Bowen Kanellos; a brother and sister-in-law, Tyler and Lisa Bowers of Greenville, SC; and a sister and brother-in-law, Terri and Jody Chaney of Ninety Six.

Private interment will be at Greenwood Memorial Gardens. A Celebration of Life will be conducted at 3 PM Thursday at Harris Baptist Church with Rev. Frank Thomas officiating. The family is at the home on Highway 178 and will receive friends immediately following the service at the church.
