Roy Ouzts Obituary
Born in Shreveport, LA, he was the son of the late Roy Ouzts and Ruth Nance Ouzts. Milburn graduated from Saluda High School and was a star baseball and football player (#21). Milburn learned to play the guitar by ear at an early age and enjoyed playing gospel classics and picking favorite tunes from the 60's and 70's.
Milburn was cherished and loved by his classmates, friends and family. We were all blessed by his talent of playing his guitar, his funny sense of humor, his wicked curveball, but his genuine sweet spirit and smile will always be treasured and remembered.
Milburn is survived by; a sister Carolyn (Jerry) Forehand of Panama City, FL, and three brothers; Gerald (Tonia) Ouzts of Russellville, AR, Douglas (Tammy) Ouzts of Saluda, SC, Dave Ouzts of Minneapolis, MN. Preceding Milburn in death is one brother, Weyman Ouzts.
The family wishes to send a special thank you to nurse Katy Berry-Goodin for the loving care and special friendship she developed with Milburn. The family wishes to also thank the nurses, staff and volunteers at Agape Hospice Care for the loving and compassionate care they provided to our sweet brother.
Celebration of Life service will be held at 11:00 am, August 30, 2025 at Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church of Greenwood. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
