Sara Hollingsworth Obituary

Sara Ann Hodges Hollingsworth, age 82, of passed away on August 25, 2024. Born in Greenwood, SC to the late Richard Hodges and Audrey Sprouse Hodges.

She was a beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother and friend. Sara was a kind and compassionate soul, known for her warm smile and gentle nature. She dedicated 33 years of her life to serving customers, working at Walmart before retiring. Sara cherished simple pleasures like dining out with her husband Fred of 59 years or attending concerts together. Her family was the light of her life, and she treasured every moment spent with them. Sara spread love and joy wherever she went, leaving a lasting impact on all who knew her.

Sara is survived by her loving husband, Fred Hollingsworth, her daughter Carol Hollingsworth McManus, her son Eric Hollingsworth, sisters Glenda Sue Elgin (Wayne), Billie Rae Bell (James), and Gail H McCall (John), brother Calvin Hodges, and her beloved grandson Chaz McManus.

In addition to her parents, Sara was preceded in death by her sister; Sandra H Jones, and brother; Richard D Hodges.

A Graveside Service to honor and celebrate Sara's life will be held at Greenwood Memorial Gardens on August 29, 2024, at 11:00 am. With the Rev. Alvin Hodges and Rev. Johnny Waller officiating.

Harley Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
